How Manga Took Over the World | Archive & Resources

Manga is a global phenomenon, popular with readers of all ages, all around the world. It’s an expansive medium encompassing every genre you can think of — from fantasy and sci-fi to slice of life and nonfiction — and has inspired a generation of non-Japanese creators to tell their own stories. While you may have heard of some of the most popular manga series like Attack on Titan, Demon Slayer, My Hero Academia, and Naruto, if you’re responsible for building a diverse, representative collection of manga, you’re going to have to expand your knowledge beyond that.
