LibraryPass, Inc. has announced a distribution agreement with Europe Comics to make its entire digital catalog available to libraries and schools through Comics Plus. With Comics Plus, readers can access thousands of digital comics, graphic novels, and manga through their school or library—with unlimited simultaneous access for online and offline reading.
Founded in 2015, Europe Comics is a pan-European alliance launched with the support of the European Commission and held together by the desire to spread the European graphic novel heritage around the world. Their catalog reflects European comics’ variety, richness and originality, in English and digital format, featuring titles for every age range, from prestigious Franco-Belgian publishers Dargaud (France), Dupuis (Belgium) and Le Lombard (Belgium), to publishers from Italy (Tunué and BAO), Spain (Dibbuks), and Poland (Timof), and many more.
“The goal of any publisher is to make known the gems of its catalog and we are so fortunate to be able to pick from the best European selections,” said Sophie Castille, head of Europe Comics. “We strongly believe that schools and libraries are the primary promoters of reading and the carriers of cultural diversity and open-mindedness. Having our books on Comics Plus is an incredible opportunity to work with LibraryPass to bring our titles closer to everyone!”
“We are thrilled to offer libraries and schools unlimited, simultaneous access to Europe Comics’ impressive catalog,” said Guy LeCharles Gonzalez, LibraryPass’ Chief Content Officer. “They’re an innovative publisher with a deep and wide-ranging backlist, including many titles that are only available to English readers in digital format.”
Europe Comics’ full catalog of more than 1,000 titles will be available through Comics Plus by the end of Summer 2022, and you can start reading notable series like Alcyon, Animal Jack, Elma—A Bear’s Life, Emma and Violette, and Ernest & Rebecca right now.
